What "unlimited" means in practice

Holafly's unlimited plans include a fair use policy. Speed is reduced after approximately 3 GB of high-speed data per day. For most travellers using maps, messaging and social media, this is sufficient. For continuous streaming, large uploads or video calls throughout the day, you may hit the limit. If consistent high-speed throughput matters more than a no-counting experience, a large fixed plan (10 GB, 20 GB) from Airalo or Saily delivers more predictable performance.

Who Holafly is for
Heavy data users who do not want to monitor gigabytes or risk running out.
Long stays of 2+ weeks where a fixed plan might run short.
Remote workers making frequent video calls within the 3 GB/day full-speed window.
Travellers who prefer predictable daily pricing over variable data costs.
Who should consider alternatives
Short trips of 1–5 days — a fixed plan from Airalo or Saily is usually cheaper for low data needs.
Travellers to Turkey — Holafly is blocked inside Turkey since July 2025. Install before arrival.
Users who need to share data across multiple devices — hotspot is limited to 1 GB/day, which is insufficient for a laptop and phone simultaneously.
Users who need truly continuous high-speed data beyond 3 GB/day — the fair use limit will throttle speed.
Mistake to avoid

Do not buy a Holafly plan based on the word "unlimited" alone if hotspot sharing is important to your trip. The 1 GB/day hotspot cap means you cannot reliably tether a laptop for work throughout the day. Saily has no hotspot cap.
