Abidjan (economic capital), Yamoussoukro (political capital) and San Pedro have good 4G. Grand-Bassam UNESCO coastal town has decent signal. Taï National Park (chimpanzees) and Comoé National Park in the north have very limited or no coverage inside the forest reserves. Download offline maps before any park visit.
National parks require a permit and usually a guide. Download offline maps, park entrance information and ranger contact details before leaving the capital. The road network north of Bouaké can be challenging — save route data offline before departure.

Three mobile operators serve Côte d'Ivoire: Orange Côte d'Ivoire (dominant incumbent), MTN Côte d'Ivoire, and Moov Africa. For a typical itinerary — Abidjan, Yamoussoukro, Bouaké, Grand-Bassam, Assinie, Man, Sassandra — Orange and MTN both offer good 4G in cities and along the main highway corridors. Commercial 5G launched across all three operators in 2025–26 and now reaches roughly a third of the urban population — concentrated in Abidjan, Bouaké and San Pedro — while the rest of the country stays on 4G.
Coverage diverges outside the main corridor: Moov's 4G footprint is meaningfully smaller than Orange and MTN. For itineraries including Comoé National Park, Taï National Park, Man's mountain region, the Sassandra coast, or northern destinations (Korhogo, Odienné), an Orange- or MTN-routed eSIM is the stronger choice.
