How much will it cost for your trip?
Despite being French territory, Saint-Barthélemy is a Collectivité d'Outre-Mer (PTOM), not an EU Outermost Region (RUP). French SIM cards (Orange, SFR, Bouygues, Free) incur international roaming charges here — unlike Martinique or Guadeloupe where they work domestically. Check your French carrier's Saint Barths add-on before travelling.
Coverage is excellent throughout Saint-Barthélemy on Orange Caraïbe. Gustavia harbour, St Jean beach, Flamands and all villa areas have strong signal. The famous airport approach over the hilltop (pilots must descend sharply before a very short runway) has coverage throughout. At only 21 km², any provider covers the entire island.

Saint-Barthélemy has four mobile operators: Orange Caraïbe (market leader, #1 on all 26 ARCEP quality criteria in 2025), SFR Caraïbe, Dauphin Telecom (local, covers both Saint-Barth and Saint-Martin), and Digicel (operates across Saint-Barth and Saint-Martin with free inter-island roaming). Orange launched 5G in Gustavia and Saint-Jean in 2023. The island is small (~25 km²) with good 4G coverage across populated areas; offshore waters and Colombier (boat-access only) are outside reliable range.
Saint-Barthélemy is a French COM and EU PTOM — EU Roam Like Home does not apply. French and EU metropolitan SIM cards incur international roaming charges, unlike Guadeloupe and Martinique where EU roaming is included. On this page, Airalo, Saily and Roamless all sell Saint-Barth plans but none names its local carrier; with Orange Caraïbe the island-wide coverage leader, any should perform well across the populated areas.
