The French side of Saint-Martin covers Marigot (capital), Grand-Case (restaurant row), Anse Marcel and Orient Bay. Coverage is strong throughout this compact territory. Crossing to Philipsburg on the Dutch Sint Maarten side: the border is open and free but telecoms are separate — your French/EU SIM may or may not cover Sint Maarten without extra charges. Check your carrier's Sint Maarten terms before crossing.
Grand-Case, Marigot and Orient Bay (Baie Orientale) have strong 4G on Orange Caraïbe. The Dutch side (Philipsburg, Maho Beach) is Sint Maarten — a separate territory. Your EU eSIM covers the French Saint-Martin side. If shopping or visiting Maho, verify whether your carrier extends RLAH to Sint Maarten specifically.

The French side of Saint-Martin is served by four operators: Orange Caraïbe (market leader, #1 across 117 of 130 ARCEP quality criteria in Saint-Martin for the 6th consecutive year in 2025), SFR Caraïbe, Dauphin Telecom (local operator serving both Saint-Martin and Saint-Barth), and Digicel (operates across both the French and Dutch sides of the island). Orange launched 5G in Marigot in 2023. The island is divided but has no border controls: French operators (Orange, SFR, Dauphin) offer free roaming on TelCell on the Dutch Sint Maarten side; Digicel operates on both sides without surcharge.
