Port Vila (Efate) and Luganville (Espiritu Santo) have good 4G on Digicel. Tanna island — home to Mount Yasur volcano (one of the world's most accessible active volcanoes) — has coverage in Lenakel and the main towns. The volcano rim itself has limited signal. Outer islands (Ambrym, Pentecost — site of Naghol land diving) have very limited coverage.
Mount Yasur (Tanna) has basic coverage approaching the volcano from Lenakel. The crater rim viewing area has variable signal. Download offline maps and volcano update information (from GEOVITI) before the island transfer from Port Vila. The ferry crossing to Tanna takes several hours and has no signal.

Vanuatu has two mobile operators: Digicel and Vodafone. Both cover the main islands — Efate (Port Vila), Espiritu Santo (Luganville), Tanna, Malekula, Ambrym, Ambae and Pentecost. In Port Vila and Luganville, both deliver 4G. No commercial 5G is available.
Digicel has wider outer-island reach and is the stronger choice for itineraries beyond Efate — including Tanna (Mount Yasur), Espiritu Santo and the northern islands. Vodafone is competitive in the two main urban centres.
