Mauritius has strong 4G coverage across the entire island including Port Louis, Grand Baie, Flic en Flac, Mahébourg and Blue Bay. Black River Gorges National Park (interior hiking) has basic signal in the main car parks. The offshore islet of Île aux Cerfs (popular day trip) has signal from the mainland towers. Strong connectivity throughout.
Mauritius Telecom (MyT) covers the entire island including the less-visited central plateau towns and southeast coast. Emtel is strong in resort areas and Port Louis. For any Mauritian itinerary, either operator provides reliable coverage. Signal is excellent at all major beaches, the Chamarel coloured earth, Ganga Talao lake and Chamarel waterfall.

Three mobile operators serve Mauritius: my.t (Mauritius Telecom, historical incumbent, widest coverage), Emtel (strong competitor with good 4G island-wide) and Chili (MTML, smaller footprint). For Port Louis, Grand Baie, Flic en Flac, Belle Mare and the Black River Gorges, my.t and Emtel both provide reliable 4G/5G. 5G is now widespread on both networks, reaching well beyond the main cities.
Rodrigues Island (600 km east) has 4G on my.t, the only operator with strong coverage there. On this page, Airalo routes via my.t or Emtel (sources differ), Roamless aggregates several local carriers and Saily does not disclose its carrier — but with both my.t and Emtel among the region’s best networks, coverage is strong on any of them. The third operator, Chili (MTML), runs only 2G/3G and is best avoided for mobile data.
