How much will it cost for your trip?
Kosovo is not an EU member state. EU Roam Like At Home rules do not apply. Most EU carriers charge daily roaming fees for Kosovo (often €1.99–€5.99/day). Check your specific carrier's Kosovo roaming terms. A travel eSIM is almost always cheaper than EU or international carrier rates.
Coverage is good in Pristina, Prizren and main towns. Rugova Gorge (Peja/Peć), the Sharr Mountains and border areas can have patchy or no signal. Download offline maps for any hiking or mountain itinerary. Also check government travel advisories for your nationality before visiting.

Network coverage in Kosovo
Kosovo has two mobile operators: IPKO and Vala. Both provide 4G coverage across main cities and towns, with 5G in partial deployment in Pristina. For Pristina, Prizren, Peja and main roads, 4G is reliable on both operators. Kosovo is not an EU or EEA member — EU Roam Like Home does not apply.
Neither provider on this page — aloSIM or Saily — discloses which Kosovar carrier it uses; their own coverage pages cite only “local networks”. This matters little here: IPKO and Vala both cover virtually the entire populated area on 4G, with IPKO reporting the widest reach (around 99.7% of the population), so any provider performs reliably across the main cities and most rural routes. For dead zones in the Rugova Gorge and the Sharr Mountains, see the field tip above for specific coverage gaps.
