Network coverage in the British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands is served by three mobile operators: Digicel, Flow and CCT Wireless. CCT has launched limited 5G coverage, expanding across the islands; Digicel and Flow are 4G/LTE. For typical tourist stops — Road Town (Tortola), The Baths (Virgin Gorda), Jost Van Dyke, Anegada — both Digicel and Flow deliver reliable 4G.

Flow is considered the most reliable for inter-island coverage, which matters for yacht charter itineraries; Digicel is stronger in Road Town. On this page, Airalo, Saily and Yesim route via Flow or Digicel without naming which; aloSIM confirms Digicel specifically. Roamless does not disclose its carrier. CCT is resident-focused, not used by travel eSIMs here.

Note: US carrier signals (from St John and the USVI) can reach western BVI territory. Phones set to auto network selection may connect to a US carrier and incur international roaming charges — set manual network selection to Digicel, Flow or CCT on arrival.

Arrival protocol in the British Virgin Islands

Before departure from home
